Meet Darcie

Hi! My name is Darcie Lakins. I am so glad you are here! Here is a little bit about me!

I am a Knoxville-based studio and natural light photographer born and raised in a tiny Southern Illinois town. We moved to Knoxville, TN over 5 years ago and we’re loving it! I have been married to my husband Brian for 13 years and have been blessed with one boy and a sweet little girl. I am a stay at home/homeschooling momma with a real passion for capturing memories that will last.

I’ve always had a love for the arts... My love for photography grew in my 30s as my nieces and children kept getting older. I am thankful for what I have learned over the years working in business and being an entrepreneur at heart, and I now get to apply all of those skills into my photography business.

 Years ago, when my eldest niece graduated, it was my first milestone to photograph. I knew from that moment that I wanted to be able to capture those fleeting moments for others as well.

Being able to capture your memories from engagement sessions to maternity sessions, milestone sessions, yearly family sessions, senior sessions and beyond, is what I absolutely love about this job as a photographer. Building that relationship with you and seeing your family grow is such a blessing that I am so thankful for.
